Yoga Trainer

Yoga was the catalyst for my wellness journey.

I grew up at the Jersey shore, with no real desire to take care of my health.

For most of my life, I didn’t like exercise, I ate anything that was fast & cheap, and I didn’t think health & wellness was important. I wondered why I had no energy and wasn’t satisfied with my jobs, my relationships, or myself.

I first discovered yoga in 2009. The more I practiced yoga, the more I felt positive shifts happening inside.

As I developed more awareness of my body, my thoughts, & my habits, I was motivated to make healthier choices in my life! I changed my diet to mostly plant-based and started to feel more energy and balance. I started doing yoga stretches that helped me feel better after working on my feet all day at a high-stress job. Meditation was like a refreshing shower for my mind.

Yoga and meditation became the main resources that helped me with high anxiety, stress & overwhelm. When I dealt with life challenges like breakup, loss, family issues, work stress— I turned to my yoga practice to process my feelings and calm my mind.

I had a deep desire to share yoga with others so that they could also be empowered with practices they could use when they needed it the most.

In 2012, I moved to the beautiful Island of Oahu, where I became a certified yoga instructor with Hawaii Yoga Institute.

I’ve been blessed to share yoga with many diverse populations over the last few years and have learned to make yoga accessible for people with many different goals & limitations.

One of my biggest passions is mental health and sharing yoga for improving mental wellness. I’ve had the opportunity to work with various mental health nonprofit organizations here on Oahu sharing accessible yoga with clients who receive mental health services, their caregivers & state workers.

Some of the students I’ve worked with live with anxiety, depression, addiction, schizophrenia, and learning disabilities. I’ve learned so much and continue to learn from my teaching experiences and am always improving the way I share these valuable yoga practices with my community.

In my classes & private sessions, I share mindful movement, breath-work, meditation, & relaxation techniques especially for people who want to improve their mental & emotional well-being.

I believe yoga helps us create more peace & balance for ourselves, so that we can create a more peaceful & balanced world around us.
