Frankie Munguia
“I never let my disability get in the way of what I do. I want to be treated equally. I want to help others to learn how to be advocates and talk about what’s important to them. With the guidance of my parents and teachers, I am able to accomplish everything. NOTHING IS GOING TO STOP ME!”
Frankie is a self-advocate who shares his story to teach and inspire others to reach their dreams. With the love of school and friends, Frankie made his first speech in 5th grade. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, he attended a transition school, but didn’t feel he had a voice. Then, with the help of his Drama Teacher in High School, he learned to speak up, build his confidence and became the ASB President in his senior year. He is committed to making a difference in other people’s lives, mentoring his peers and spending time with his family.
