JACQUELINE ATEMPA

My name is Jacqueline Atempa. I am 26 years old. I was born in Pomona, California on December 19, 1995. My mom’s name is Heist Bonilla and my dad’s name is Arnulfo Atempa Lima. I have two sisters and their names are Nayeli and Nancy. I have a brother in law named Cesar. I have three nephews whose names are Jayden, Daniel, and Dylan. I also have one niece whose name is Angeline. My family likes going to church every Sunday to pray and be grateful for everything that we have.

When I was a little kid, I was a straight A student at the schools I attended which are Kellogg Elementary School, Simon Middle School, Pomona High School, and the Adult Transition Program. My dream is to go to Mt. San Antonio College to take some classes including math, reading, Spanish language, history, Japanese, and art. When I am in class, I like to focus, learn new things, ask questions and pay attention when the teacher is talking.

In the near future, I hope to learn how to drive a car because I would like to be more independent and be more on time in the mornings and afternoons. In the mornings, I attend the LC Vocational Program. In the program, I participate in many activities including cooking classes, arts and crafts, exercise, and community outings. I enjoy doing these activities with my peers and staff, especially the community outings, because I enjoy the fresh air and the time I get to spend with friends that support me.
