Holidays
As the holidays approaches my family and I are probably going to have to make some changes due to the pandemic. As I mentioned before I love to bake and usually I am in charge of the deserts in my family. However during the holiday I make a bit of money by taking baking orders. This does hurt me because I was planning to save money to go to my cousin’s graduation in Canada. Not only does the pandemic affect me financially but also traditionally. During the holidays we like to attend Christmas plays, I would help build floats, and then my family and I would see them in the parade. As of right now all those traditions are not possible and it is very disappointing. I know for a fact I’m not the only one going through tough times. The best advice I can give to others and remind myself is to think about what I can still do. Such as baking for my family and calling or zooming my relatives to wish them happy holidays. Also another advice I can give is to find a new tradition for the meantime that would be similar to your usual tradition.
