Frankie’s Journey Chapter 4

by

It is now time for me to transfer schools. I was at Lassalette school and now I am going to Sunset OH for second and third grade. I was lucky to have a really awesome teacher; Miss Kamoto. She was strict but cared a lot about her students. We did a lot in her class. I learned how to read, write and do touch point math. Sometimes we would cook. We had a stove and a refrigerator in our classroom. By the end of third grade, I was tested for my tri-annual. Everyone was so happy that I had done so much progress. The psychologist told us that I was not an MR, which means mental retardation. My new diagnosis is my vision and cerebral palsy. I was not able to see well and was not able to use my hand and it caused me to learn slower. Miss Kamoto told my mom that she saw so much progress in the two years I was with her. My family was so happy and proud of me. I felt so good about myself and everything I had achieved. I am so lucky to have an awesome teacher. I hope every student is as lucky as me.
